A Spatial Connection
"The exciting part is getting to go to places like Barneys New York where you see all these really cool concept stores that are totally crazy, like stepping into an art gallery. I’ve always been about space and visuals, so going into shops I find it really interesting how they utilize their space and lead you through it. I think that’s important.
It’s really cool going into those places where clothes are expensive but they’ve made the whole thing an enjoyable experience with their amazing fit-outs. And you’re like, this is cool because I felt like I had stepped into an art installation. And yes, I bought this thing that was expensive, but it was almost like buying a work of art because I bought it from this cool place. Then you have this great connection to the experience of buying it."
